How do you want to get here?

  • By taxi [+]
    Yes, this is convenient - definitely the quickest and easiest option. It will take around 10 minutes from the airport and cost somewhere between 150 and 200 NOK. Taxis will (hopefully!) be waiting outside the airport exit. If you need to call them the number is . The address is .
    Access is easier from Bjørnøygata, you can ask the driver to stop there instead.
  • By airport bus [+]
    Definitely a convenient choice, and cheaper than a taxi - at least if you are traveling alone. It’s NOK 80 per person (NOK 120 for a return ticket within 30 days). Get off at the stop called Polaria (the first stop after the tunnel), then walk ca 5 minutes to the house. Timetables here.

    From the Polaria bus stop it is a 5 minute walk to our house - walk to your right when you face the sea at the bus stop. Walk straight ahead all the way - when the road divides after the Tromsø Taxi sign you can go either way. The house is located in between the two roads; Strandvegen (the one to the left, slightly downhill) and Bjørnøygata (the one straight ahead, slightly uphill). Although the address is , the house is most easily accessible from Bjørnøygata. It's the third house after the intersection.
  • By regular bus from the airport [+]
    Good choice, great way to save some cash! And the planet, too. Also, honestly it’s only a tiny bit less convenient than the airport bus - you have to walk 100 meters more or so.

    To get here by regular bus you want bus no 42. The price for a ticket is NOK 35 if you buy the ticket at the 7-eleven kiosk at the airport (directly outside the arrival hall, you couldn't miss it) or NOK 50 if you buy the ticket on the bus. (NB! If you plan to take the bus more than this once, buying a 1-day pass (NOK 90) or a 7-day pass (NOK 250) will quickly save you some cash) You'll find the bus across the parking lot in front of the airport, down on the little street below it there. So instead of getting on the airport bus right outside the airport exit you have to walk about 100 meters to find the bus stop.

    Gotta love public transport, and your own legs! Take bus no 34 from Sjøgata (between the Prostneset bus station and the Radisson SAS hotel) or outside Café Circa in Storgata, get off at the Bjørnøygata stop, then walk back appr 100 meters. But it's only 3-4 stops so we think it's easier just to walk, it will take you around 10 min from Prostneset / the Tourist Information. If you walk, follow Storgata south (past the Mack Brewery and Polaria) and just walk straight all the way. The house is located in between two roads; Strandvegen (the one to the left, slightly downhill) and Bjørnøygata (the one straight ahead, slightly uphill). It's the third house after the intersection, and you can access the house from both roads (though the address is ).

    Great - and we do have parking! There are 2 parking spots available to our guests at the Strandvegen side of the house. In winter there might be only one due to the fact that the snow also requires some space. Please ask us for details about where to park when checking in. NB! Please notify us about your need for a parking space when you book a room. First to reserve it, first to get it :)

    The house is located between two streets and you can access it from both; Strandvegen and Bjørnøygata. The entrance is on the upper side of the house, facing Bjørnøygata.
