Lots and lots of people come to Tromsø to see the Northern Lights. And we do understand why, it’s really quite an amazing sight we never tire of. However, what most people don’t know or don’t think about that much is that the light can be almost as extraordinary and breathtaking at daytime. Today we took a stroll around Folkeparken (the small forest around Tromsø Museum) and Telegrafbukta, and this is what it looked like:
And the best news of all? No need for a car to get here – Folkeparken and Telegrafbukta is just 2 km from our houses. Easy to walk, or you can jump on the number 34 bus that goes past our door. It’s a really great spot for northern lights watching too (our favorite, in fact) so if you put on some warm clothes you can just hang around after the sunset waiting for the Aurora Borealis to come out as well!
